Hazrat Shahjalal Mazar Sharif is the most historical religious interest tourist place in Sylhet town. It was named after Saint Shah Jalal, who has celebrated Sufi Muslim figure in Bengal and he was buried in Mazar Sharif Sylhet. The great saint 13-14th-century Sufi saint, who came from Delhi to preach Islam and defeatindu Raja (king) Gour Gobinda.The Shrine of Hazrat Shah Jalal tomb has become a place of pilgrimage for hundreds of devotees who come to the shrine in their droves from all over the country.The Darga Sharif is illuminated by candles and outside visitors will get a massive pond filled with catfish and a separate tank with gold fish, both of which are considered sacred.
